In the summer of this year, bullet 580 will be escorted in the return of inflatable giant airships and the pilot of these will be Captain Allan Judd. The description of this inflatable giant airship is that this ship is 235 feet in length and 65 feet in diameter and it is covered with a type of Kevlar ( para-aramid  synthetic fiber). This Kevlar is ten times stronger than steel in material and only one sixteenth of an inch thick. It is an E-Green design that costs 5.5 million pounds. The fuel on which this airship runs is algae, bio-fuel, algae is an auto trophic organism that can be attained from brackish and waste water.

This giant inflatable airship has a seven bag helium boosting the speed to 80 mph maximum. Bullet 580 is capable of carrying loads of 2,000 lbs up to 20,000 ft in the air with a travel rate of 35 mph. This inflatable ship, fueled with algae can take off and land vertically. Read the full story

As the race to find more alternatives to fossil fuels speeds up, newer ways to produce energy are coming up. But none of these new inventions are as interesting and innovative as the Cool Earth Solar “Balloon”. This particular balloon is designed to produce 400 times more electricity as compared to a solar cell that does not contain the company’s concentrator.

The main concept behind this design is to create an inflatable plastic thin-film balloon, i.e. the solar concentrator that upon inflation focuses the sunlight onto a photovoltaic cell held at its focal point.
