Sun rooms, green houses and “sun spaces” are a few terms that are often used interchangeably. But, there is a difference in all of these. It depends upon the purpose for which these are used. These are all used to retain heat from the sun. A brief note on all three is given below:
Sunrooms

It is a general term used for those home extensions that use natural light and windows. You can convert that extended area into reading room because it has ample light. It can also be used as an area for playing games. Kids would surely love that. Another option is to make it your prayer room or store sacred items in that.
Sunrooms don’t necessarily provide heating around the area. These are simple lighted extensions in a home that can be used in various forms.
Greenhouses
Greenhouses are especially made to hold back solar heat. This energy is needed for the growth of plants. Optimal conditions required by plants are not favorable for home living spaces. Moreover, in greenhouses it is important to control high temperature and excessive level of humidity. Otherwise, it is hard for plants to survive.
In a house attached with greenhouse, if windows are fixed in place of insulated walls, house can use more energy.
solar sunspaces and their purpose
Solar sunspaces work differently from greenhouses and sunrooms. These are supposed to collect solar heat that is distributed throughout the home. Since, there is no mechanical equipment or device needed; it is type of passive solar heating.
What are the main advantages of solar sunspaces?
Passive heating system has many advantages over active heating system. Sunspaces are built using techniques that integrate well into the design of a house. These go with the building structure and material, therefore these are not expensive.
Another benefit of solar sunspaces is that these are easy to maintain. There are no solar panels to clean or repair as in other active heating systems.
How sunspaces work?
A combination of direct and indirect solar heat gain is used in sunspaces. They can serve as storage area in the form of an attached room. Where is the solar collector in a sunspace? The space in the attached solar sun space acts as collector. It retains natural sun heat to keep room warm.

Various energy alternatives have started making their way in lieu of the energy crisis which the world is facing, energy resources have not only decreased but their prices are also inflating. In view of the situation many power generation methods are emerging one of them being the Geothermal mode of power generation.
What Is Geothermal Energy?

Geothermal energy generation is a mode of energy generation which makes use of the heat from within the earth to provide heating in the cold days, cooling in the hot days and hot water throughout the year.
Residential Energy Provided By the Geothermal System
The energy provided by the geothermal system for your resident is an affordable, efficient and cheap option as compared to the electricity supplied by the utility company and a very economic method for obtaining hot water.
Heat Generation during the Winter Season
In the winter season, the heat is absorbed from the ground or the water underneath the ground, this heat is then transmitted to the geothermal unit of the geothermal system. This transmission of heat is done through an underground piping system or well, this heat is then transferred to the air which in turn distributes it through the duct.
Cooling during the Summer Season
During the summer season the cooling is done by the rejection of the heat present in the atmosphere, to keep the atmosphere cool and to provide central air conditioning. Similar to the manner of heating, in the cooling process the heat travels through the duct but this time the path is different, rather opposite. In the cooling process the heat is transmitted from the atmosphere to the underground water, where it is harmlessly dissipated. A part of heat may however be used to meet the requirement of warm water.
Eco-Friendly
The Geothermal mode of energy generation is eco-friendly and entirely natural, it does not cause any pollution, does not deplete the natural resources and does not cause the environment any harm.
Very Low Maintenance Requirement
The Geothermal system requires a very low maintenance cost and effort as the system incorporates very few mechanical components.

Solar inverters are devices which convert direct current into alternating current. DC, commonly known as direct current is in a straight line form, and is not suitable for home appliances. We use AC or alternating current to run our domestic electronic devices. Solar inverters, as is evident from the name; work on the energy obtained from the sun.

How Electric Current is Produced?
Solar panels receive energy from the sun. This energy is in the form of light. Light is transferred to the photovoltaic cells which are mounted onto the solar panels. Photovoltaic cells are made of semiconductor layers of gallium or crystalline silicon. The semiconductors on the solar panel are connected through a junction, and contain both positive and negative layers.
When the heat reaches to the solar panels it is absorbed by the semiconductor elements affixed on them. The energy breaks the loose electrons of crystalline silicon or gallium. The loose electrons start a very fast motion from the negative layer of the photovoltaic cell to the positive layer of the cell. The fast motion of electrons produces electric current. The current generated because of the motion of the electrons in the solar panel is either stored into a battery for later use or is sent to the inverter.

Understanding the functioning of Solar Panels
Like any other form of energy solar energy is also a form of energy. The laws of physics tell us that energy can be converted from one form into the other. Likewise solar energy can be converted into electricity or heat energy. The solar panels do the job; they convert light energy into electricity or heat. Combined with phosphorus, boron or other elements the solar panels are made from silicon plates. The aim is to create solar cells which produce negative and positive charges. The two thin solar panels i.e. photoelectric modules and solar thermal collector are microscopically thin rectangle boxes which absorb the sunlight and convert it to heat or electricity.
Why Solar panels?
The solar panels are more environment-friendly medium of energy. Compared to electricity, solar energy pollutes the environment to the least and does not emit harmful gases which prove harmful for the environment.

People are getting aware about the use of solar energy which is very beneficial for the nature and the environment. The solar energy is saved by the solar units and then can be used in any way like for running lights, fans, geysers etc.
Mechanism of the Solar Hot Air Heating System
The solar hot air heating system use air as a working tool for storing and transferring of solar energy. The air collectors can be used to heat the rooms directly. The air collector produces the heat all day long because of that it can be used in solar heaters and can be used more comparing to the liquid system.

Another important aspect is that the air system do not freeze, any leakage from the ducts will not cause any problem for it but the leakage will effect the performance .Contrary these problem if arises in liquid system it wont work .So it is a big advantage of solar hot air heating system.
Room Air Heaters
It can be installed on the roof or at the exterior side of the house. The factory made built collectors is also available in market which costs around a few hundred dollars. The collector contains an air tight metal frame and a black metal plate glazed from front, which is being used to absorb the heat. The sun heats the plate and the plate in turns heats the collector and the blow is given to the room .

For the installation of a Photovoltaic Solar Energy System, firstly you have to check out that how much solar energy is usually absorbed by your panel which depends on the mean daily solar radiations for your area.
1. Calculating the Potential Solar Radiation Power
The average Solar energy obtained is about 4-5 kWh/m2/day, in most of the areas but in some areas it even reaches to 8.

In order to check your area, please concern to this map which is provided by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) Resource Assessment Program. In the units kWh/m2/day, where kWh stands for kilowatt hour, with “m” is the area of the absorber, for this case, the photovoltaic cell, with square meters. Where the solar panels work with the efficiency of ranging from 7 to 17%.
Solar Radiation (kWh/m2/day) X % of Solar Panel’s Efficiency (7%) = Tot, Power in kW a solar Panel (2m2) can generate Daily
Keeping in mind the above formula, your habitat consist of an average solar radiation of 4.5 kWh/m2/day in the surface area of about 1m2 of photovoltaic cells, then the resultant can be 0.315 kWh/day (315 Watt/day) with the efficiency of about 7% of an average solar panel.
2. Determine Your Average Energy Usage
Once you come to know that how much solar energy you are obtaining from the sun then you can calculate that how much energy you need on your recent energy involvement.

Keeping in view the importance of geothermal energy we shall put all efforts to cultivate geothermal energy techniques. This is a field which has marvelous growth opportunities and it simply harvests the natural energy present under the surface of our planet Earth. There are huge reserves of geothermal energy under the surface of earth. What we have to do is go for it and connect to pipe it up.

The Science of Geothermal Energy
The temperature at centre of our planet the Earth is more than 60 times greater than the boiling point of water. Such a huge temperature generates massive pressure deep under the surface of earth. The vast pressure contains immense quantity of energy in the form of heat and pressure. The pressure so generated develops channels to come out of surface of earth. We can observe this energy when hot fluids called magma flare-up from volcanoes. The idea of geothermal energy is to convert this energy into electricity which we can use for our domestic and industrial consumption. A vast quantity of magma is present deep under the surface of earth. We have to locate such sites where the deposits of magma are large enough to run our project economically. Than we have to develop the channels to release underground pressure. Erect a power generation plant and produce power.
