President Obama recently unveiled the Florida Power and Light’s DeSoto Next Generation Solar Energy Center. Moreover, the President has also announced the creation of an updated electrical grid.

The solar facility, which will be Florida’s second-largest, will be able to power the 2,300-household town of Arcadia.
However, as noticed by Obama and other FP&L officials, the main hindrance to the increased use of solar power is an ancient electrical grid.
