Solar Panels is a great tool that effectively collect power from sun. Day by day, people are more concerned to buy solar panels for their personal use. Solar Panels or the PhotoVoltaic Cells are mostly purchased for home purposes, since it is better to generate electricity than to spend money on buying electricity from power company. Secretary for Energy and climate change, Ed Miliband, has recently disclosed the government’s national smart meter program.

The program has been designed to make the citizens more energy conscious, enabling them to save as much as they can, by installing meters in their homes.
The meters will help the residents to keep track of their energy consumption, motivating them to minimize any unnecessary wastage.

Two bills were signed recently by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger of California in order to help the state meet its ambitious renewable energy goals and boost its solar industry.
In one bill, utilities are required to buy power from a collection of small solar generators for above-market prices. The idea has been taken after looking at similar programs in Germany. The main idea behind this is to increase market access for small-scale producers of solar power to 3 megawatts from 1.5 megawatts.
