Like all other sources of energy, there are residue materials for nuclear reactors too. The disposal of residue is the core area of concern for preservationists. It emits radioactive rays for very long period and therefore proper disposal is necessary. 50% of the power requirements of 5 states of United States are met using nuclear reactors.
