You’d be forgiven for casting your mind to the lethargic Texan plains of the west at the mention of wind turbines. But check this out, there are far more ways to capture renewable wind energy, and I think you might even agree that you’ll be tempted to try some of these just for their unorthodox nature! Oh and just to give credit where credit is due, Texas does come out on top as far as wind power in the U.S is concerned.

Rotating Skyscrapers

Nope, you didn’t misread that, that’s what it say’s, Rotating Skyscrapers. And it probably won’t come as a surprise when I tell you Dubai’s the place to find it! Every single floor of this building will be able to move to the current of the wind. Imagine that? Never having to stare at the same view instead of instead of actually working anymore?

How Solar Does And What it Does?

by JessyFebruary 8, 2010

Having dished out plenty of solar power info, I got to thinking whether or not the majority of people are even aware of the brains behind the project, the Solar Panel(!)? Or, if you prefer, the “Green-Hornet-side-kick” of the solar energy team. Whatever the metaphor, lets familiarize us with the photovoltaic physical workings of this super hero enigma.

Now this one is pretty much as sinister as it sounds in my opinion, but here, let me give you the facts and we’ll see what you make of it?The hypothesis simply put is this; methane clathrates (methane gas trapped in water / ice) forming on the ocean floor, the release of which would result in seriously accelerated global warming and extinction. Sometimes these methane clathrates are called methane ice or methane hydrate

10 of the Best! Radiant Energy

by JessyJanuary 24, 2010

This energy source can be extracted from regular electricity by a process called fractionation. It can also be taken straight from the environment. Although radiant energy works the same magic as electricity, it does not exactly “behave” in the same way and as you can imagine, this lead to a lot of confusion and misconceptions within the scientific community regarding this misunderstood thing.
