The America has surpassed Germany to become the largest wind energy producer on our planet. Now it is having enough capacity to get rid of the burning of 91 million barrels of oil annually.

Reported by the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA), America wind producers enjoyed another record year of growth last year (2008)—the 3rd in a row. The nation now has an established wind power capacity good in excess of 21,000 megawatts (MW), sufficient to provide electrical energy to more than 5.5 million American houses.
Randall Swisher, AWEA Executive Director, says that wind energy facilities are contributing 20% of the America’s electrical power provision by 2030 as visualized by the U.S. Department of Energy.
Surprisingly, this rapid advancement was attained under a governing establishment that to many appeared, at best, indifferent to the plight of the renewable energy industry. If the America wind generation industry is able of turning into a world-leader during such times, it appears quite probable that the picture could better even more with a more sympathetic leader at the helm.
