In our all previous posts, we have been learning about energy in details and its sources. Energy for sure is an important need of our daily lives. We use fuels when we need it, the fossil fuels are not common and it took a long long time for their making. Fossil fuels were made by the decaying of plants and animals and it has a lot of energy stored in it. The point is fossil fuels were once made in old times and they cannot be made again. So the fossil fuels are precious and should be conserved instead of using it locally. Instead we should preserve the fossil fuels and use other alternatives from the sources that are always present like sun and wind.
How to get Hydrogen for use?
With the passage of time and the development of world, scientists and researchers have been successful in finding the fact that ‘hydrogen’ is eligible to be used as a source of energy.
Hydrogen is a gas, it has no color or odor, and its presence is 75% on earth. Hydrogen is not found in isolated form, it is found combined with other elements like with oxygen or carbon or nitrogen and to sue hydrogen only we need to separate hydrogen from other elements.
One well known way to obtain hydrogen is from water, it is possible to separate hydrogen from water cells through a process known as electrolysis. Another well known way is reforming hydrogen, in which the hydrogen is obtained from molecules on passing heat. One more way to obtain hydrogen is unique, the algae and fungi also gives off hydrogen when the receive sunlight under certain conditions.
Hydrogen is useful in many ways:
Hydrogen today is very useful in multiple purposes. Hydrogen is used in manufacturing process of ammonia, synthesis of methanol and also refining of petroleum. Hydrogen is also used in space shuttles as fuel, the fuel that gives heat, creates electricity and drinking water for the space travelers. 
It is said that in future hydrogen would be used as fuels in vehicles, air crafts and a source that would power our homes and offices. Hydrogen is filled in fuel cell, it is a device that directly changes hydrogen into electricity, it is used in spaceships and is purposeful for astronauts. The fuel cells are type that they constantly keep work, the charge never ends and as results gives zero pollution and a clean drinking water to the crew members. NASA has been consuming liquid form of hydrogen to forward rockets in space and now space shuttle into orbit.
Fuel Cells Benefits:
Fuel cells are highly economical, and best for daily purpose uses, this device is planned to be placed in buildings and homes to give proper results. The automobile companies are motivated to make such vehicles in which fuel cells are fitted. the fuel cells though use the clear hydrogen is further enhanced that it is filled with natural gas, and other fuels by which the same results are obtained. This situation nearly makes the researchers to believe that upcoming economy will be completely hydrogen based, and it would be the end of fossil fuel based economy since where hydrogen would be used instead of other fuel types.
Solar Power Satellites:
The experts suggest to place huge satellites of solar power in the orbits, that receive the solar power convert it into electricity and then forward it on earth in the form of microwaves, this values a lot but the methods seems to negatively effect the living beings’ health and the rockets might also disturb the space environment. Till now it is thought of doing so but not yet practiced.
